What to do about retirement income? It’s a question top-of-mind for financial service practitioners for what seems like forever. Increasing life spans and unprecedented consumption habits have combined to exponentially increase the risk that retirees will outlive their assets. Throw a credit crunch, housing crisis and global economic meltdown into the mix and the severity of the problem becomes all the more clear.
So what’s being done? What new and unique steps is the industry taking to deal with the retirement income question? What products are in development? What educational initiatives are taking place? Where can advisors go to get the resources they need to proactively address the problem?
The 2nd Annual Retirement Income Symposium will answer these questions. It will inform and educate financial service executives and advisors about the need for new products, risk management techniques and more complex retirement strategies to meet their clients’ needs and -as an industry- gain back trust. We explore the current market conditions and create effective strategies to succeed in this new retirement reality. The conference will attract key players in the field – investment companies, insurance companies, distribution channels, suppliers of services and technologies, etc. – many of whom will be presenting during the event.
